It works great overall. The wide brim provides real shade, blocking a ton of direct sun on my face and neck during hikes and yard work in Arizona heat. The shade is legitimate, and I stay noticeably cooler under it compared to regular hats. The solar fans charge well in direct sunlight and deliver solid airflow across my head. Even on the low setting they make a difference when it's pushing 100+ degrees. The panels are positioned nicely to catch sun without blocking the brim.

I've worn it while gardening, hiking, and at baseball games. It keeps me noticeably cooler than a regular sun hat.

These hats are awesome!! I have worked as a landscaper the last year and these hats are my best friends. I have one with the bug net, and one without as the bug net can get bothersome if the bugs aren't bad, but when the gnats come out to play, it's a godsend. The hats fit great, keep the sun off me and out of my eyes, and the fans give you a nice refreshing breeze. All win.
